Ezekiel 16

ScriptureEzekiel 16:62 ⁶² So I will establish my covenant with you, and you will know that I am the Lord.ObservationIn the previous chapter, God had compared Jerusalem to an unfruitful vine – fit for nothing but the fire; now he is comparing it to an adulterous woman that ought to be abandoned and exposed.  [Matthew Henry’s commentary].UnderstandingAgain, God shows His desire for relationship with us.  He justifies what he intends to bring upon Jerusalem.  After all, it would be righteous justice.  Justice for their sin, their disobedience, their worship of other idols, their rebelliousness towards God.  But God gives the promise of mercy…that they would know that He is God. Life ApplicationMay we heed the warning to Jerusalem.  Prioritizing and honoring God in all that we do!God, thank you for your incredible mercy!  Thank you for your forgiveness and the love you show for your children.  Help us to honor you in the way we live out our lives…putting you first, loving on your people and living a life of repentance and obedience. - ReiTo check out the discussion or to join in click here.
